Israel Photography Tour welcomes our friends from the United Arab Emirates
Israel Photography Tour is absolutely delighted to learn of the recent news that the United Arab Emirates and Israel have signed a Peace Agreement through a US brokered accord. 2020 will be remembered as the year when the world turned upside-down due to the Coronavirus pandemic, however on a personal level it will also be remembered as the year when a ray of hope illuminated our land with the prospect of peace with more of our neighbours in the Middle East. The UAE will be the third Arab country to formally normalise it’s relations with Israel, after Egypt in 1979 and Jordan in 1994.
Sectors that the UAE were expected to invest in include cyber industries, communication, financial and medical technology, with investments in Israel predicted to top $350 million per year. Apart from the obvious mutual financial benefits, this courageous initiative is a huge leap forward in establishing security and stability, and shows a commitment of advancing peace in the region.
With the creation of full diplomatic ties, last week’s joint statement between Israel and the UAE said that the establishment of reciprocal embassies and upcoming deals in direct flights, security and tourism is already underway, and we are looking forward to welcoming our friends from the UAE to Israel, and likewise very much look forward to exploring the UAE and meeting it’s wonderful people.
